This is the most Amazing folder we have ever seen by Larry Fuegen!! This piece of Art consists of over 8 ounces of Gold! The Blade is Damascus by Larry Fuegen, the body is carved Black Buffalo Horn and the head of the "Conquistador" is made of Carved Mammoth. The whole helmet, body armor and bolsters are Gold! The detail is just incredible. The story is of of "Cabeza De Vaca". That was his nickname. He was a Spanish explorer and one of only 4 survivors of the 1527 Narvaez Expedition. His journey lasted 8 years as he traveled from Florida across the American Southwest in search of Spanish Colonial forces in Mexico. During his travels he was a trader, and at times a slave among the local native populations he came into contact with. After returning to Spain, he wrote of his adventures in a book called "La Relacion" (The Relation) This is truly an amazing piece of Art that you rarely see the equal to in the Knife Art Industry.
